Notes that Pays More Interest!

Range Accrual Note or Index Range Notes?

Range Accrual Notes or Index Range Notes are types of bonds or notes that accrues interest if the embedded index or interest-rate option underlying the bond remains within a specified range. For example, the fairway in golf is like the index or interest rate range. The outlook is positive if the ball lands on the fairway; if a ball lands in the rough, the outlook is negative; also known as "corridor bond", "index range note", "range accrual note", or "index floater".  Source: Investopedia.

Many of the big banks now offer Indexed Cd's which are based on the same principle of index range notes. There is a good article on BankRate.com that gives a good description of Indexed Cd's.  If you regularly purchase Cd's but want more interest and you are willing to take a little more risk, an indexed CD or note maybe the way to go. UCS offers a range of Accrual Notes, Indexed Bonds and Cd's on a weekly basis. Check our financial blogs for daily offering updates or call us at 1-866-801-3359 to speak with a consultant.

Tip of the Day: Now is a great time to contribute to an IRA- Individual Retirement Account, and receive the benefits of  tax deductions, tax-free growth on earnings and, if you are eligible, non-refundable tax credits.

Fixed Interest Rate of 5.75 Percent Per Year

Searching through our fixed-income inventory this morning and I found a great deal on 25 investment grade bonds. The bonds have a coupon of 5.75%, payable semi-annually. They mature in 2020 and have a worst case scenario yield of 4.994%. A $25,000 investment would give you approximately $33,597.50 at the end of 5 years or approximately *$1,619 per year in interest.

If you have a CD maturing soon, coming into a windfall or would like to jump start your retirement fund, this may be a good investment to start with.

For more information or for a firm quote, call me at -1-866-801-3359.

*Quote does not include broker and adviser fees which may reduce actual annual interest received.

Are you looking for a better fixed return on certificate of deposits?

We are currently offering certificates of deposits that are pegged to an ETF Efficient 5 Index strategy. These CDs are structured for investors that can handle a small of amount of fluctuation in their principal. If you believe that the stock market will continue to recover and grow at least 5% over the next 7 years, this type of CD may be for you. I will be posting a hypothetical return chart shortly on these CDs.

Avoid the daily volatility of the stock markets and try fixed-income interest payments.
